1. Terms and Conditions
- Participation Requirement: All drivers must own Automobilista 2 and join the official Mzansi Motorsport Discord server for driver briefings and event updates.
- Casual Event Status: The "Friday Night Hangouts" event is a standalone, non-championship exhibition race designed purely for community enjoyment and clean racing practice.
- Server Integrity: Drivers are expected to maintain stable network latency (ping) during grid sessions to prevent desync or safety issues on track.
2. Points Allocation and Prizes
- Championship Points: None. Because this is an informal hangout event, no championship standings, driver leaderboards, or points are awarded.
- Prize Pool: No physical or monetary prizes are allocated. Bragging rights and community recognition are the sole rewards for finishing on the podium.
3. Attendance and Withdrawal Rules
- Open Registration: Drivers may sign up or drop out without penalty up until the official practice session begins.
- Withdrawal Notice: If a driver signs up but cannot attend, they are requested to notify event organizers in the Discord event channel so the grid spot can be opened to standby drivers.
- Mid-Race Disconnections / DNF: Retiring early or disconnecting from the server carries no disciplinary action, though drivers are encouraged to safely park in the pit lane before leaving the session.
4. On-Track Conduct and Self-Policing
- No Stewards: The session is completely self-policed. Official stewards will not process post-race incident appeals or protest forms.
- Sportsmanship First: Drivers must adhere to standard racing etiquette leaving fair racing room, avoiding late dive-bombs, and respecting track limits.
- Self-Penalty / Gentleman’s Agreement: If you accidentally bump another driver or make an unfair pass, yield the position back on track at the earliest safe opportunity.
5. Technical Penalties & Game Enforcement
- Automated Game Penalties: In-game system penalties (e.g., pit-lane speeding, track limit cuts) are managed automatically by Automobilista 2 and must be served in-game (such as drive-throughs or stop-and-go penalties).
- Severe Misconduct: Intentional wrecking, toxic behavior in text/voice chat, or driving backward on track will result in an immediate kick or permanent ban from future Mzansi Motorsport events.
